Sister school?

For those of you who don't know this. Goddard has two campuses. One is in Vermont the other is on the other coast. I have been notified that the G1's in the MFAIA in Port Townsend would like to develop a relationship with the G1's in Vermont. If anyone is interested from the Vermont clan, please let me know. I'll put you in contact with someone at Port Townsend.

  • Bridgette, thank you for posting this. I am the contact for the "sister program" at the Port Townsend campus (realrachel@gmail.com, rachel.rutherford@goddard.edu, 425-449-1308 cell), and would love to hear from anyone in either the MFAIA or MFACW Vermont or Port Townsend programs. I love that we have two campuses, and two versions of the same pots bubbling away. It means we have the rare opportunity to compare notes, and get deeper learning.

For example -- when I had been accepted to Port Townsend's MFAIA, and was scouring the internet for clues, and resources, I found two helpful friendly sources -- Bridgette, and this blog (which I sat down and read from start to finish, including watching the homey flickering of the Vermont bonfire); and Emily Armstrong and all her vlogs, including the one that had a pdf to her final Portfolio (which I also sat down and read from start to finish).

So, my MFAIA "duckling imprinting" was actually onto two Vermont MFAIA students, because they "lived" where I live, which is on the internet.

I think this is why I feel a desire to tie the two campuses together, and link our cohorts -- because my Goddard experience began by me receiving generous gifts from Vermont MFAIA-ers, and I want to give back.

  • So cool. I hope this gets going, and please, since I am in residency before you please remind me before residency so that I can announce it at the general meeting. Also how will the next G1's be interested in their sister school?

  • Also it is good to know that this blog is helping someone. I hope more people find it that are looking for a school. I'm glad it came up in the search.
