DONE!

I think it is interesting that things usually take longer than you think they will take.

My application went out to Goddard.

Included in this packet are:
The application
The essay
The study plan
A short bibliography

Additional support materials consist of:
Artwork.
Photographs of artwork, a website address is provided to an online portfolio.
A list of publicity that I have received, a website address is provided for this same documentation that has links to some of the online articles printed about my work.
A sample of my gift line,God’s Word Collectibles.

Writing.
A partial list of published works, a website address is provided to an online list with links to some of the online articles.
Samples of writings printed in Sculptural Pursuit and Sculptural Review magazines.
A link to Best of Artists and Artisans where I write a regular sculpture column.

Audio.
Information about Inspirations/Generations, the audio podcasts that I produce and co-host, along with a link to listen to the podcasts.

Video.
A list of the videos that I have created along with a link to view them online.

The only thing left to do is the letters of recommendation.

I sent out requests by email and snail-mail. I went ahead and inserted an addressed envelope with stamp to those I contacted. My difficulty is that in my undergraduate studies I only had three teachers. One died and at this moment I am at a loss to find the second. Options.

It should be done.

The essay, support material, study plan, and bib have been written and proofed. All I need to do is print it, put it in an envelope and mail it. Only after it is in the mail, am I writing my three people about a letter of recommendation. I need to be sure I am really doing this before asking these kind people to go through the effort. If all is done correctly I'll have those letters mailed along with the application today! Then it is back to work. As I am "WAY" behind. Talking with the Focal Press publisher today.

oh yes, and my EFC ( estimated family contribution) came back to me for my FASFA. To bad I really don't know anything until I am enrolled and can talk to financial aid. It seems funny that you have to be a part of the college before really knowing how much it is going to cost you.

still working?

I see how the last three years I have said, I would go back to school and have done nothing to get there. I guess the timing wasn't right. But this blog keeps me accountable. I have written my essay, first draft, outline of my study plan and created a bib. All in draft form. I have printed out the FAFSa and hubby and I will be filling it out together in the morning. I know I should ask for my recommendation letter, but I want to make sure that I am not going to change my mind. And so, most everything will be done before writing for these. I still swallow hard at the thought of going back and spending that type of money now. Onward. I promise I'll post in the next week, with an update.
